The Buffalo Bisons topped the Hartford Whalers by the score of 8-7, with the biggest share of the credit going to left fielder Matt Stairs. Stairs went 4 for 6 with a double and 3 singles, while scoring 2 times for the Bisons on the day. The second-place Bisons have won 4 consecutive games.
