Beasties Beat Visiting Blue Crabs, 5-1
|
Nate Minchey pitched a gem to lead Bluff City to a 5-1 victory over the Ocean City Blue Crabs. The Beasties now have a record of 32-33.
Kevin Jordan had a big 2-run single for the Beasties in the bottom of the first inning. With Bluff City leading 2-0 and runners on 2nd and 3rd, he got a fastball from Ariel Prieto and stroked the single to center. It was his 67th hit of the season, and more importantly, it put the Beasties ahead, 4-0.
Jordan attributed the win to "energy and focus on the part of everyone."
