Victory Over Bisons Takes Hartford to 51-31
Hartford withstood an impressive performance by Buffalo left fielder Matt Stairs to defeat the Bisons, 6-4, at Wolves Ballpark. Stairs was 3-5 with a home run and a double, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2. Bobby Chouinard, credited with the win, is now 6-2. He allowed 3 runs on 6 hits in 6 innings. Marvin Freeman finished the game for Hartford and earned his 4th save.

The Whalers beat the Bisons with some clutch hitting. The double by Luis Sojo in the bottom of the second is a good example. With two down, Sojo gave his team the lead, 3-2, when he came through with the big hit.

"It's nice to come out on top today," said Sojo.

Today's win puts Hartford at 51-31, while Buffalo falls to 45-37.
