Jaha Goes Off, But Swamp Foxes Win
The Savannah Swamp Foxes defeated the Jacksonville Suns, 10-8. Earning player of the game honors was first baseman John Jaha, who went 2-2 with 2 home runs, 2 walks, and was hit by a pitch, while scoring 3 times and driving in 4. Savannah reliever Valerio de los Santos picked up the win, upping his record to 5-1. Mark Dewey took the loss. Scott Sullivan earned his 9th save in 10 chances.

Savannah used the timely hitting of Melvin Rosario to seize the win. The pinch hitter stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the ninth inning to put the Swamp Foxes on top, 9-8. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a game-changer.

"Say want you want about this team, they play nine innings hard," said Savannah manager .

Savannah has now won 3 in a row.
