River Rats Shut Out Tarantulas
|
The Spokane River Rats topped the Tucson Tarantulas, 3-0, in Pacific action at Ballpark of Louisville. The player of the game was Spokane pitcher Brian Dubois. In 8 innings, Dubois surrendered 6 hits, while striking out 4 and walking 4. He allowed no runs. The Tarantulas fall to 7-13 and continue their lackluster start to the 1998 season.
Mike Lowell, the Spokane third baseman, contributed a run-scoring single in the top of the second inning to make the score 2-0, River Rats. For the game, Lowell was 1-4 with a walk.
"I like what I saw today," said Spokane manager , "and I can't wait to get back out there and do it again."
