Twins Bang Out 8-3 Win Versus Boston
The Boston Red Sox and Minnesota Twins cranked it up at Metrodome.

The Minnesota Twins stopped the Boston Red Sox, 8-3, at Metrodome. The Twins got a big game from Jerome Walton, who went 3-5 with a triple and 2 singles, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 3. Minnesota is third in the Federal League Central Division with a record of 22-25.

Walton had a key at-bat for Minnesota early in the game. With the bases loaded, he hit a 2-run single. It was his 16th hit of the season and gave Minnesota an early 2-0 lead.

"We cashed in when we had the chance," said Minnesota manager Darren Fischbach.
