Red Sox Rally For Late Win Over Devil Rays
|
The Boston Red Sox got a stellar performance from pitcher John Ericks, who handcuffed the Orlando offense en route to a 3-2 win at Fenway Park. Even with the win, the Red Sox have a dismal 25-47 record.
With one out in the bottom of the ninth, Miguel Mejia stroked a go-ahead run-scoring single. It was his 23rd hit of the season and put Boston in front, 3-2.
"We saved our best for last," said Ericks.
