Extra-Inning Walk-Off Win for Red Sox
The Boston Red Sox had to overcome a big game from St. Louis first baseman Ivan Calderon to leave Fenway Park with a 7-6 victory. Calderon went 3-6 with 2 home runs. Boston, at 26-47, sits in last place in the Federal League East Division.

The game was at a stalemate until center fielder Oddibe McDowell came to bat in the bottom of the 11th. Facing St. Louis pitcher Braden Looper, he hit a 0-1 splitter for a run-scoring single. It was a game-changer, putting Boston on top, 7-6.

"I'm proud of the boys for pulling through," said Red Sox manager Brett Williams. "The wins don't come easy for this team, but everyone's got an extra jump in their step after a game like this."
